Context of your meeting and how you realized you were the right one for each other? We met online but knew at our first date that we had found something special. We couldn’t stop talking and didn’t want to leave each other.[/word]
How did he propose?
By the sea in Syracuse, Sicily after a long lunch.
What do you love most about your partner?
He always makes me laugh. Even over the last year while we have been in lockdown with a new baby and unable it see our families and friends, we’ve managed to have fun together.
Why Florence? What was the best part of planning process?
I am half Italian so we knew we wanted to get married in Italy, and Florence is such a beautiful, romantic city. The best part of the planning process was definitely the food tasting. Our caterer was incredible!
What was your favourite moment or detail from the day?
Walking into the dinner area for the first time. It was completely breath taking. I will never forget it and didn’t want to leave!
What was your “must have” for the wedding?
If you are getting married abroad, I would strongly suggest hiring a wedding planner. Sara and the team at SposiamoVi did the most incredible job planning, keeping me calm and relaxed throughout the process, but also being available on the day to ensure everything ran smoothly. We could not have done it without her!
A tip for future brides?
Try and take some time on the day to just stop and take it all in. It goes so quickly!
What’s your most important piece of advice for creating and maintaining a strong relationship?
Be honest with each other at all times, and have fun. If you fight, get over it quickly and move on. Life is too short!
