Trendy Makeup Looks for 2025
We asked Sasha Keene, a talented makeup artist based in London, about the latest bridal makeup trends for 2025. Sasha specializes in beauty, fashion, and red carpet looks, offering her services worldwide. Known for her work across diverse industries, she brings expertise and creativity to every project. Here’s what Sasha had to say:
- Soft Pastel Shades: Soft pastel shades for eyes and lips are becoming increasingly popular. Colors like blush pinks and muted peaches create a romantic, ethereal look perfect for brides.
- The ‘Pillow Talk’ Look: The ‘Pillow Talk’ look by Charlotte Tilbury is one of the most requested. Blush pinks enhance eye colors, complement lips, and add a light flush to the cheeks for an elegant effect.
- Graphic Eyeliner Styles: Bold and graphic eyeliner styles are making a statement, from classic wings to artistic designs. These looks allow brides to express their individuality.
- Natural, Glowing Skin: Brides are opting for a natural look that emphasizes healthy, glowing skin. Lightweight foundations and tinted moisturizers are preferred for a fresh, dewy finish.
- Minimalist Approach: The minimalist trend continues to thrive, focusing on fewer products and a streamlined application process. A light wash of color over the lids helps create an effortless, light-reflective look.

Wedding Day Makeup Products Recommended by Experts for a Long-Lasting Look
Wedding makeup isn’t just everyday makeup—it’s designed to be more durable and photogenic. It focuses on products that resist sweat, tears, and long hours of celebration. To help you achieve a flawless look, we asked Sasha Keene to share the best wedding day makeup products and top tips on how to use them for the best results:
1. Start with a Clean Canvas
Begin with a clean, moisturized face. Use a gentle cleanser to remove any excess oil or dirt, followed by a lightweight moisturizer suitable for your skin type. Lancôme Micellar Water is a favourite in my kit to lightly cleanse the skin before following with my favourite moisturisers from Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream or their Water Cream depending on the client’s skin type.

2. Use a Primer
Apply a makeup primer to create a smooth base. Primers help to fill in pores and fine lines, allowing makeup to adhere better and last longer. My favourite primers are the Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas or the Laura Mercier Hydrating Primer.

3. Choose Long-Wear Formulas
Opt for long-lasting or waterproof makeup products, including foundations, concealers, and eyeliners. These products are specifically designed to withstand heat, humidity, and wear. Depending on the clients skin my top two favourite foundations are the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation and the Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation. The Hourglass Voyeur Eyeliners are extremely long wearing, and the Clinique Mascaras are a must have in my kit.
4. Set with Powder
After applying foundation and concealer, lightly dust a translucent setting powder over your face to lock in moisture and prevent shine. Focus on areas that tend to get oily, such as the T-zone. My favourite loose powder is the Hourglass Translucent Veil Powder and for on the go touch ups is my holy grail product from Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder.

5. Use Setting Spray
I use setting spray between each layer on the skin. This helps the makeup to melt into the skin and become more long wearing and to create a more natural finish. The Invisi Spray from Vieve Muse is my current favourite.
6. Layer Wisely
When applying products, use thin layers rather than thick applications. This allows each layer to set properly and reduces the risk of makeup sliding off.

7. Cream Products
If using cream blushes or eyeshadows, set them with a matching powder to enhance longevity. I love the Beauty Light Wands from Charlotte Tilbury as well as the Armani Luminous Silk Cheek Tints. I will match these to the powder formula to enhance the colour at the end of the makeup application. My go to cream eyeshadows is the Eyes to Mesmerise Shadows from Charlotte Tilbury. They have a beautiful metallic finish that catches the light so beautifully and helps to make the eyes sparkle.
Natural Wedding Makeup
Natural wedding makeup looks is all about enhancing one’s features while keeping the look fresh and effortless. It’s perfect for bride’s wedding makeup minimalistic and understated look.
A light-coverage foundation or BB cream is used to even out the skin tone, followed by a hint of blush and a subtle highlighter for a natural glow. For the eyes, neutral eyeshadows and mascara are used to open up the eyes.
A sheer lip color or lip balm completes the look. This style of makeup is suitable for brides who prefer a minimalist approach or an outdoor wedding.
Whether my Bride opts for a more natural look or wants a full glam makeover, I work with my Brides at their trial to make sure we get their personal Bridal Look perfect for their big day. I always start by asking the Bride what she ‘doesn’t’ like. This way I know what to avoid before advising specific products I believe that would work for them and to enhance their features. The main goal is for the Bride to feel like her most beautiful on her special day. I take personal pride in making sure I am patient and listen to all my Brides concerns and take this into consideration before starting the Make Up Application process.

Simple Wedding Makeup
Simple wedding makeup is all about achieving a timeless and classic look that will stand the test of time. It’s perfect for brides who want a low-maintenance look that will last throughout the day. A light-coverage foundation or tinted moisturizer is used to even out the skin tone, followed by a subtle blush and a touch of highlighter for a natural glow.
For the eyes, a neutral eyeshadow with mascara and eyeliner is used to define the eyes. A classic red or nude lipstick completes the look. This style of makeup is suitable for brides who want a classic and elegant look that will never go out of style.
Soft Glam Wedding Makeup
The key to glamorous wedding makeup is to keep it soft, but still flirty and rather feminine. Glam makeup could be metallic, sexy, or even perfectly dramatic. The trick, in either case, is to have either dramatic lips or eyes with minimal other visible makeup.
One of the best makeup ideas, in this regard, would be or keep the brows bushy and natural, and shade the eyes golden for a timeless appeal. Try to apply thick mascara coats on the top and bottom. If you have shorter lashes, you could try adding false eyelashes.
If you prefer a soft, sultry appeal, consider using a copper eye pencil along the top lash line. Try to blend it out such that the line only adds depth and is not severe. Be sure to match the cheek and lip shade to your eyeshadow tones to achieve that seamless finish.

Wedding Smokey Eye Makeup
This is one of the trending, romantic wedding makeup ideas today. It is possible to attain romantic smokey eye makeup without having to look too dark or heavy. In this case, consider wearing a charcoal grey palette, building lighter shades on the lid, and darker shades on the outer corners of the eye.
If ashy hues are not suited for your skin complexion, go for sultry plum shades. For a more balanced look, it is advisable to finish with nude lipstick that features warm undertones. For a more vintage smokey eye wedding makeup, you could have fluttery lashes, smokey eyes, and wine-stained lips.
If you do not want to look too heavy or dark, try using metallic bronze and silver.
Beach Wedding Makeup
For a beach wedding, it’s important to keep your makeup natural, fresh, and light to complement the relaxed and carefree atmosphere. Opt for lightweight, waterproof products to ensure your makeup lasts in the heat and humidity. Tinted moisturizer or a lightweight foundation with SPF can help protect your skin while still providing coverage.
Keep your eye makeup minimal with waterproof mascara and neutral eyeshadow. Use a cream blush or bronzer to give your skin a natural, sun-kissed glow. For lips, a tinted lip balm or a natural-looking lipstick is perfect for the beachy vibe. Remember to pack blotting papers or setting powder to touch up throughout the day.
Red Lips Wedding Makeup
A bold red lip is a classic and timeless look for weddings. It can be worn for both formal and casual weddings and complements a range of bridal styles. The key to nailing this look is finding the right shade of red that complements your skin tone.
For fair skin, a blue-toned red can look beautiful, while warmer, orange-toned reds work well for those with olive or darker skin.
Pair your red lip with neutral, subtle eye makeup to keep the focus on your lips. A red lip is a bold statement that suits confident, adventurous brides who want to make a statement on their big day.
Dark Wedding Makeup
Gothic wedding makeup has become increasingly popular lately as more brides embrace their unique style and individuality. This dramatic makeup look typically features dark, bold eye makeup, deep red or burgundy lips, and porcelain skin.
While this look may not be appropriate for every bride or wedding, it can be a stunning choice for those who want to create a bold, striking look on their special day.
The key to nailing this look is to keep the rest of your makeup minimal and let your statement features shine. Gothic makeup is perfect for brides who want to make a statement and stand out on their big day.
Wedding Makeup For Blue Eyes
If you have blue eyes, there are a variety of makeup techniques and shades that can enhance their natural beauty on your wedding day.
Earthy, warm tones like peach, bronze, and copper can help make blue eyes appear brighter and more vibrant. A smoky eye in shades of gray or navy can also look stunning on blue-eyed brides.
For a more natural look, try using a champagne-colored eyeshadow on the inner corner of the eye to make them pop. Experiment with different shades and techniques to find the perfect wedding makeup look for your blue eyes.
Wedding Makeup For Green Eyes
Green eyes are truly stunning and can be enhanced with the right makeup techniques and colors on your wedding day. Earthy tones like brown and beige can help to bring out the natural green hues in your eyes, while shades of pink and purple can create a beautiful contrast. Rich shades of gold and bronze can also work well to make green eyes pop.
Consider using a winged liner to draw attention to your eyes and create a striking effect. A natural-looking, dewy finish can complement green eyes and complete your wedding day look.
Wedding Makeup For Brown Eyes
For brides with dark eyes, such as brown or hazel, there are plenty of makeup options to create a stunning bridal look. Warm earthy tones like bronze and copper can make dark eyes pop and create perfect natural wedding makeup for brown eyes. Meanwhile, shades of purple and burgundy can create a beautiful contrast but soft wedding makeup.
A smokey eye can be a great wedding makeup looks for brown eyes, as it can create a dramatic effect. Consider adding a pop of color with bold lipstick or using a highlighter to add dimension and draw attention to your eyes. Don’t forget to finish with a setting spray for a long-lasting look.
Asian Wedding Makeup
Makeup for Asian women often involves emphasizing their natural features, such as their almond-shaped eyes and high cheekbones.
The focus is on achieving a flawless, porcelain-like complexion, which can be achieved with the use of color-correcting primers and high-coverage foundations. Eye makeup usually involves bold and dramatic looks with the use of dark eyeliners, false lashes, and shimmering eyeshadows.
Blush is applied high on the cheekbones, and lip colors range from bright reds to soft pinks, depending on the occasion. The key is to balance the makeup with the outfit and achieve a harmonious overall look.
Indian Wedding Makeup
Indian wedding makeup is known for its stunning and vibrant features, emphasizing rich colors and intricate detailing. The focus is on accentuating the eyes with bold and dramatic eyeliners, eyeshadows, and mascara, often accompanied by extravagant false lashes. The lips are adorned with bright and bold lip colors, while the cheeks are delicately highlighted with a warm glow.
To choose the perfect Indian wedding makeup, consider your skin tone, outfit colors, and the overall theme of the wedding.
Opt for a wedding makeup artist experienced in Indian bridal looks and communicate your preferences to ensure a flawless and captivating appearance on your special day.

- Blush: Rich berry, plum, or coral tones give the skin a healthy glow.
- Eyeshadow: Golds, bronzes, and jewel tones (emerald or purple) look stunning on deeper skin.

- Foundation: Choose lightweight formulas with pink or neutral undertones to match fair skin.

- Eyeshadow: Blue eyes pop with champagne or taupe, green eyes shine with lilac, while hazel and brown eyes pair beautifully with copper and gold.
- Lips: Nude, peach, or soft pink lips complete the look.
This ensures an elegant, timeless makeup look no matter your eye color.
Airbrush Makeup For Wedding
If you’re looking for a high-tech solution for your wedding day makeup, consider airbrush makeup. Using compressed air, the fine mist of makeup is sprayed onto the skin, creating a flawless, natural-looking finish.
Airbrush makeup is long-lasting, resistant to sweat and tears, and perfect for brides who want to look flawless in their wedding photos. It’s also a great choice for those with sensitive skin as the hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic formula won’t clog pores.
